Sports and Games Equipment

At Gilwell Ada’s Hoeve we have special fields set aside for sports and games. One of them is Gulden Roede, which borders the river Vecht and is also perfect for water games. Another is Van Pallandt, the field by the totem pole — thanks to its central location it is ideal as a meeting place and for group activities.

Here are some of the games for which we have equipment available:

• Jeu de boules – the classic holiday game. We have multiple sets so you can play it with larger groups.
• Rounders / softball / baseball – if your group has at least 16 people, rounders is a great activity. We provide all the equipment except the bases. You can make your own or borrow cones from us.
• Volleyball / football (soccer) – we have a large selection of balls in all shapes and sizes. If you find yourself short of a ball, you can borrow one from us. We also have a volleyball net available.
• Badminton / tennis / beach ball.
